The J.O. Combs Unified School District is accepting open registration for the Combs Traditional Academy for grades kindergarten through five, which will open on Aug. 9.
The campus is located at 37327 N. Gantzel Road.
The academy will have a "back-to-basics" approach using curriculum that promotes direct instruction to an entire class in reading, writing and mathematics.

Since the town of Maricopa has disproven the myth that traditional school children earn higher AIMS scores than public school children, I only hope that the parents of children in QC catch on to that fact. A traditional charter school or a traditional public school are only as effective as its staff; period.
