The Old Adobe Mission at Brown Avenue and First Street celebrates its 75th anniversary.
A series of historical and educational events are planned:
• Sunday, 2 p.m. to 4 p.m., Scottsdale’s Religious Heritage Day — Choirs from four churches representing Scottsdale’s early religious communities will present their favorite hymns and share their history through a photographic display.
• Feb. 24, 2 p.m. to 4 p.m., Celebrating the Architecture and Art of the Mission — Experts will present Spanish Colonial Revival architecture and how to make adobe, stained-glass windows and mosaics.
