An event celebrating Israel’s 60th birthday will be noon to 5 p.m. today at the Ina Levine Jewish Community Campus, 12701 N. Scottsdale Road, Scottsdale.
The event is presented by the Jewish Federation of Greater Phoenix, Valley of the Sun Jewish Community Center, JCC Alliance for Israel and the Israel Center of the Federation.
The opening ceremony will be 2 p.m. and headline entertainment at 3 p.m.
Activities include a Jerusalem market with local and Israeli street vendors, camel rides and a taste of Israeli cuisine; a sky diving exhibition; and an interactive 6,000-square-foot exhibit showcasing Israel’s 60 years of achievements in high technology, humanities, medicine, sciences and the arts.
