Police on Sunday identified the woman killed in a weekend traffic crash in Scottsdale as Francis Grindahl, 76, of Minnesota.

Aleta Pitch, 40, of Phoenix and Kimberly Milewski, 14, of Scottsdale are in critical condition at Scottsdale Healthcare Osborn hospital. Grace Milewski, 50, and Christine Milewski, 15, both of Scottsdale, are being treated at Maricopa Medical Center in Phoenix.

The crash happened about 3 p.m. on Thomas Road near 60th Street. Grindahl was pulling onto Thomas when Pitch’s pickup broadsided her car, said Scottsdale detective Sam Bailey.

Grace Milewski and her two granddaughters were riding in Grindahl’s car.

Thomas Road was closed for six hours. The crash remains under investigation.
