Scottsdale police Detective Tanya Corder will speak at Valley Presbyterian Church in Paradise Valley on Sunday from 9:15 a.m. to 10:45 a.m. to discuss the dangers children face from sexual predators while surfing the Internet.

Corder will discuss prevention methods parents can use to protect their children from sexual predators and bullies in cyberspace.

Corder said the biggest danger lies in social networking Web sites, such as Facebook and MySpace.

The lecture is part of a series offered by the Parenting Academy, which is hosted by the church.

Valley Presbyterian Church is located at 6947 E. McDonald Drive.

For more information, contact Tina Gilbreath, director of the Parenting Academy, at (480) 991-6424.
