A California man died Monday morning after a twovehicle crash.
Police identified the man as Steven Porter, 24, whose Volvo sedan struck the back of a trailer at a high rate of speed in the 6900 block of East Dixileta Drive after the driver of the trailer slowed down to turn into a driveway.
Porter, who was wearing his seat belt, was thrown from his vehicle after the Volvo flipped numerous times, according to police.
He was flown by helicopter to Scottsdale Healthcare Osborn with serious injuries and pronounced dead about 5:30 a.m. Monday.
Police believe alcohol was a factor in the crash.
