The Scottsdale Unified School District is expecting its tax rate to drop next year.

The actual tax rate is set in August each year. But the district is estimating that rate will decrease by $0.0385 to $4.6757 per $100 of assessed value, Dave Peterson, assistant superintendent of operations, said Tuesday at a governing board meeting.

The district is scheduled to adopt the $162 million budget at an 11:30 a.m. meeting July 2 in the district’s Education Center, 3811 N. 44th St., Phoenix.
