Members of the Highland High School girls basketball team on Saturday printed and distributed flyers at local businesses in the East Valley to raise awareness of missing Glendale girl Jahessye Shockley.

Dannica Renteria, who spearheaded the effort after watching local news reports of Jahessye's disappearance, said she wants to get the girl's image out there so that if someone does see her they will recognize her and help reunite her with her family.

According to the Associated Press, Jahessye was last seen Oct. 11 by her three older siblings at their Glendale apartment while their mother was out running an errand.
