Starting Monday evening , construction crews will be working overnight on selected dates through next month at the SkySong high-tech incubator.

Starting Monday evening , construction crews will be working overnight on selected dates through next month at the SkySong high-tech incubator.

City officials said that the project’s contractor, Sundt Construction Inc. of Tempe, said the nighttime construction will include concrete work.

Work will take place at the SkySong site at the southeast corner of McDowell and Scottsdale roads from midnight to sunrise tonight and on the following dates:

• Aug. 20, 22, 25, 27, 29.

• Sept. 2, 4, 5, 8, 10, 12, 15, 17, 19, 22, 24.

Recycle 'e-waste’ in downtown

MacMedia is hosting downtown Scottsdale’s first “e-waste” recycling event 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Sept. 6 in the former Rose Garden parking lot at the northwest corner of Goldwater Boulevard and Fifth Avenue, city officials said.

Titled “Go Green,” this event encourages proper recycling of computer and electronic equipment including old, used or broken computers, printers, fax machines, cables, AC adapters, cell phones, TV sets, VCRs, speakers and other electronics.

Participants will receive a tax voucher for their donation.

MacMedia Inc. is partnering with Scrapcomputer.com to donate 10 cents per pound to Children’s Hospital of Arizona. The event will also include refreshments, door prizes and computer discounts.
