Matt Mixer named P.E. Teacher of the Year
Horizon Community Learning Center’s Matthew Mixer was presented with the Elementary Physical Education Teacher of the Year award by the Arizona Association for Health, Physical Education, Recreation and Dance Oct. 21. Lynn Monroy (left) and Kathy Dean, president of AzAHPERD and a teacher at Summit School of Ahwatukee, made the presentation during a special awards ceremony last week at the 79th Annual AzAHPERD State Convention in downtown Phoenix.
