Summer vacation may have ended back in August, but all of the fun definitely hasn't.

The hit animated series "Phineas and Ferb" is coming live to US Airways in downtown Phoenix, starting Friday.

Stopping in more than 80 cities across the country, all of the Danville Tri-State area characters that kids know and love will be side by side on their very first tour: "Disney's Phineas and Ferb: The Best LIVE Tour Ever!"

The brainy brothers Phineas and Ferb, along with their meddling older sister Candace, and friends Baljeet, Buford, and Isabella will be taking the stage on their 104th day of summer vacation with one goal in mind: To build their biggest and best invention ever and end their summer with a bang.

Of course, the show wouldn't be complete without Perry the Platypus, the household pet with a secret identity of Agent P.

Played by Tiffany Westfall, who has also been in "Winnie the Pooh Live!" and "Mickey's Magic Show Playhouse Disney Live!" Agent P will fulfill his usual role: Taking down his arch-nemesis Dr. Doofenshmirtz.

"Agent P scales buildings and takes on ninjas. He's an action hero who performs acrobatic stunts throughout the show to try to spoil Dr. Doofenshmirtz's not-so-evil plan," Westfall said.

More than a decade ago, co-creators Dan Povenmire and Jeff "Swampy" Marsh drew up their ideas for the "Phineas and Ferb" characters on napkins. Today, it's an award-winning animated series watched by not only children, but whole families.

The live show, produced by Feld Entertainment, is also aiming to be fun for all ages. Director and award-winning choreographer Fred Tallaksen, who's choreographed for many movies and television shows, including "Wizards of Waverly Place," says there's something for everyone to enjoy.

"For me, there are more dance numbers - big production numbers - in this show," Tallaksen said.

"It's really one after the other, and they keep getting bigger and bigger. I'm excited that so many people around the country get to see it live."

Each dance number features songs that are favorites for many "Phineas and Ferb" viewers, including "Squirrels in My Pants" and "Backyard Beach." In addition to those 14 tunes, there will be a brand new song that Povenmire and Marsh wrote exclusively for the show.

"All of the numbers are so exciting - it's hard to pick one favorite," Westfall said.

She also said other great show highlights include guest interactions and sing-alongs.

"Even a few lucky adults are invited up on stage during intermission to be test subjects for Dr. Doofenshmirtz's new invention," she said.

Both Westfall and Tallaksen describe "Disney's Phineas and Ferb: The Best LIVE Tour Ever!" as "super entertaining" and "extremely action-packed with high energy."

See Phineas and Ferb "do it all" at 4 p.m. or 7 p.m. on Oct. 14. Show times on Oct. 15 are at 11 a.m., 3 p.m. and 7 p.m. Tickets can be purchased by calling 1-800-745-3000 or by visiting www.ticketmaster.com.
