Youth wrestling programs coming to DV

The Infinity Wrestling Academy, taught by Chuck Barbee, will host two wrestling clinics. The first is a starter program Sept. 8-29 for new and novice competitors.

There will also be an IWA No Limits camp from Oct. 4 to Feb. 9, 2012 for wrestlers with at least a year of experience.

Both camps will be at Desert Vista's wrestling room and is for athletes 7 to 12 years of age. The starter program is from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. and the No Limits program is from 6:15 to 7:30 p.m. The cost for the starter camp is $55 for seven sessions and the cost for the No Limits camp is $195 for 37 sessions. A USA Wrestling card is required to participate.

The IWA is run by Barbee, who wrestled at Oklahoma State, was the assistant head coach at Oklahoma and was the head coach for the United States Military Academy at West Point for 10 years.
