Although Joe Jonas is most recognizable for his work with his brothers, he is now focused on making a name for himself as a solo artist.

Jonas will perform an all-ages show Saturday in Scottsdale as part of a 19-city fall tour with British rapper Jay Sean. Instead of Jay Sean, singer JoJo will perform at the Scottsdale concert.

Jonas recently released the single “See No More” from his first solo album, “FastLife,” set to debut Oct. 11. “See No More” has earned rave reviews from both Billboard and Entertainment Weekly.

“I’ve been going a bit more urban, hip-hop and dance, and some stuff that I’ve never really done with my brothers,” said Jonas. “(I’m) excited to be able to kind of go on a different route and try some new sounds and, lyrically, just challenge myself.”

Jonas attributes a lot of his inspiration for the album on European music, dance music, and even a little R&B. He considered this album more “grown up” than what he has done with The Jonas Brothers.

“I wanted to create something that was just kind of age appropriate to where I was at in my life,” said Jonas.

Jonas will throw in some Jonas Brothers covers and medleys into his concert. He performs at 7 p.m. Saturday at The Venue Scottsdale, 7117 E. Third Ave. Tickets are $25. For information, call (480) 945-5150 or visit www.thevenuescottsdale.com.
