Cory Bernard threw more than 100 pitches during the game against Lamar National Little League from Richmond, Texas, in 2003 for the Chandler National Little League and then later did the same thing in Chandler Hamilton state playoff game.
Scott Kingrey, then playing for teh Ahwatukee Dawgs in the Little League World Series, helped Mountain Pointe to the the Class 5A Division I state title game and said success at an early age helped him in big games.
One of the lessons learned for the players of the little league teams thrust into the spotlight is getting used to the media attention. In 2007, members of the Chandler National Little League particiapted in a "media day" held at Arizona World of Baseball in Tempe.
