The Ahwatukee Foothills Chamber of Commerce announced today that it will be moving to a new location on Ray Road. The move from its current location, 10235 S. 51st St., to the Mendoza Business Complex, 3840 E. Ray Road, will take place this week.

Moving began this morning and Terri Kimble, president and CEO of the chamber, said she hopes the move to a more centralized location will increase interaction with community members.

"We have always longed for greater visual exposure to better serve our business, residential and tourist community. When this space became available, we jumped on it. How wonderful it will be to increase foot traffic for the chamber and our businesses. It was a little hard to find us in our past location and this is an answer to our prayers," Kimble said in an e-mail. "With spring break upon us, we figured it would be a good time to make the move (this week) while we were a little slower activity-wise and while we had some extra help."

Paulette Pacioni, vice president of marketing and communications at the chamber, said the move "will increase our exposure 200 percent by being on Ray Road with all the traffic going by."

Kimble added that the chamber's phone numbers and e-mails will remain the same.
