Nicky’s Week fundraiser
starts May 27
Nicky’s Week, which benefits St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, begins on Sunday and continues through June 2. One-hundred percent of the sale of all food and drink items at RA Sushi will benefit St. Jude. RA Sushi in Ahwatukee is located at 4921 E. Ray Road. This fundraiser was created in memory of Nicky Mailliard, a nephew of one of RA Sushi’s original founders, who lost a long battle with brain cancer at the age of 13.

Memorial Day marching music celebration May 28
On Monday from 4 to 8 p.m. come see the Memorial Day celebration for marching music lovers. The event will include the Academy Drum and Bugle Corps. young musicians showing off their skills as individual sections (brass, drumline, etc.) as an ensemble. The celebration will include food, raffles and auctions and will take place at the PERA Club, 1 E. Continental Drive in Tempe. Cost is $8.
