Students in several East Valley school districts return to class next week. School resumes Monday, Aug. 8, for the Higley Unified School District, Tempe and Kyrene elementary districts, and Tempe Union High School District. Class starts Tuesday, Aug. 9, for Apache Junction Unified School District. Students in Gilbert and Mesa unified districts return to class next Wednesday, Aug. 10. Charter schools and private schools will also be returning in the next few weeks. Check with your child’s school for the start date.
