Everyone knows Schnepf Farms is the place to go for chili and pumpkins in the fall and peaches in the summer.

The Queen Creek family farm is also a destination for the holidays, thanks to an ice skating rink, hayrides that take visitors to feed “Santa’s” deer and a miniature train ride with holiday lights.

There’s also a petting zoo — and bonfires and hot chocolate to keep you warm when you come off the ice.

You can even pick veggies in the farm’s fields to bolster your holiday feast or party tray.

DETAILS >> Noon to 8 p.m. daily, except Christmas Day, through Jan. 7, 2012. Schnepf Farms, 24810 S. Rittenhouse Road, Queen Creek. $8 for 30 minutes of ice skating (includes skates), or $15 for ice skating and unlimited rides. (480) 987-3100 or www.schnepffarms.com.
