Several local players will get one more high school baseball game to show off their talents.
The Arizona Baseball Coaches Association's all-star game rosters were recently announced and it had a heavy Ahwatukee Foothills flavor to it.
Mountain Pointe seniors Kevin Cron and Anthony Balderrama were selected as catchers for the South team and will be coached by Mesquite's Jeff Holland in the Class 5A Division I game at Surprise Stadium on June 3 at 8 p.m.
Desert Vista catcher Shaun Chase, Ryan Modi and Casey Thomas were selected for the North team and will be coached by Trevor Browne's Deston Cummings.
The Class 2A game, which is being played Saturday, had Ahwatukee resident and Arizona Lutheran Academy's Ian Meshay selected as a third baseman but he is unable to attend as the school's graduation is on the same day.
