Ten years after Sept. 11, Southwest Ambulance continues to remember the events that changed our country, and that took the lives of so many, including those of first responder brothers and sisters.

In their memory, Southwest Ambulance and Rural/Metro will read a special tribute over its radio systems on Sept. 11.

Southwest Ambulance has also purchased commemorative shirts, and is allowing its employees to wear them in place of their normal uniforms from Sept. 8-13.

Script to be read over the ambulance dispatch communications system on Sept. 11:

Read at 8:45 a.m.: On this 10th anniversary of 9/11, Southwest Ambulance and Rural/Metro remember the lives of those lost-- including the lives and heroic actions of our fellow first responders -- by acknowledging each of the four attacks over the radio at the proper time this morning.
