Local music and restaurants, handcrafted wines and a lifestyle marketplace will be featured at the second annual Vistancia Music & Wine Festival from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Saturday at the Vistancia community in Peoria.

The event will benefit Fighter Country Partnership, a not-for-profit organization that aids, supports and honors airmen and families in need at Luke Air Force Base. The festival is sponsored by Community Music & Wine Events LLC of Peoria.

Vistancia is north of Happy Valley Road and west of Lake Pleasant Parkway, four miles west of the Loop 303. Activities will be around Vistancia’s Mountain Vista Club and event lawns, 29701 N. Sunrise Point.

“Visitors can enjoy continuous music by local musicians and performing artists, wines from Arizona, California and other regions, food vendors from local restaurants and a marketplace featuring merchandise and services for the upscale lifestyle,” said Scott Del Fava of Community Music & Wine Events.

A variety of wines will be available for tasting. Participating wineries include: Jerome Vineyards and Bitter Creek Winery, both in Jerome; Hart’s Desire Winery in the Alexander Valley of Sonoma County; and Del Fava Family Winery, Selby Winery, Seghesio Winery and V-Twin Vineyards, all of Healdsburg, Calif. Also offering wines are Schlossadler International Wines Portfolio, The Tasting Room, Quintessential Wines, Southern Wine & Spirits, Valley of the Sun Fine Wines Portfolio, and many others.

Other tastings will include microbrews from Rock Bottom Brewing and Sonoran Brewing as well as tequila sampling from Cruz Tequila and Mexican Moonshine.

Local restaurant booths will include Chipotle Grill, Squid Ink Sushi, Macayo’s Mexican Grill, Verde Grill, Johnny’s BBQ and DeCio Pasta, among others.

Throughout the day, music will be provided by respected local artists including: Cold Shott and The Hurricane Horns; Rebecca De La Torre; Joel “JdR” Del Rosario and The Sophisticated Gents; Curtis Haywood; J. Powers Band; The Screaming Javelinas; Gabriel Bey aka “Spooky Kool;” and Will “SureWill” Clark and The Sophisticated Gents.

General admission tickets are $25 for advance purchase/military discount (with government ID), $30 for day of event admission and $10 for children 12 and under. For a day of wine tasting, add $15 to the cost of general admission.

Purchase tickets online at www.communitymusicevents.com or by calling 602-244-8444 to charge by phone. Tickets may also be purchased at the Vistancia Village Community Association office and at The Tasting Room in the Safeway Center in Vistancia.
