Phoenix FC professional soccer franchise celebrates its inaugural season in 2013 and has signed two more players to its roster. Player contracts have been completed with midfielder/defender Reid Schmitt and forward Aaron King.
Schmitt is a graduate of Desert Vista High School. The club’s intent was to sign quality local players and Phoenix-born Schmitt, 25, fits the bill after having played a full season for FC Tucson of the PDL. Schmitt’s contract is pending United States Soccer Federation (USSF) approval.
King, 28, is a seasoned professional known for his outstanding speed, size and skill. With experience at several professional U.S. soccer levels, King is expected to be an offensive force. King’s contract is also pending USSF approval.
