The Thunder Speech, Theater and Debate Company will be performing its annual spring showcase at 7 p.m. May 11 and 12 and a matinee at 4 p.m. on May 13 in the Desert Vista High School Black Box (A-164), 16440 S. 32nd St.

The eight-time AIA State Championship team will demonstrate many of its award-winning events. Each date is a new show of poetry slams, dramatic and humorous monologues, comedic speeches, improvisation and debate. TSTDC will also be hosting its quarterly Improv Show at 4 p.m. on May 11 and 12. The "Whose Line Is It Anyway" style show will demonstrate students' quick-witted humor in a variety of theater and improv games.

Proceeds will help fund the 10 students who qualified for the National Forensic League Tournament in June in Dallas, Texas. Pursuing their quest for a national team championship, they will compete with more than 2,000 of the top students from all over the country.
