Jalen Brown keeps on impressing.

The Mountain Pointe freshman was named wide receiver MVP at the Scottsdale national underclassmen combine.

It came a week after he was named overall MVP and Combine King at the Apache Junction national underclassmen combine.

Take these type of events, where the players get tested in various drills like the NFL combine, for what they are worth, but there is no denying that Brown is going to be one of the top players in the state by the time his senior year rolls around.

Brown was named to MaxPrep's national All-Freshman team as a wide receiver after grabbing 25 catches for 282 yards and three touchdowns, but the 6-foot-1, 165-pounder made his biggest impression on defense as he had six interceptions and was named all-region fist team.

He was also varsity on the basketball team as he averaged 4.2 points, 2.0 assists and 1.5 rebounds while being named to the East Valley all-defensive team.

And I am sure he could hit a fastball or run the high hurdles if he so choose, but instead of playing a spring sport Brown is racking up MVP honors in order to get his name out there.

It won't be too long before all of the big-time football programs start visiting campus.
