Q: Where are you from and what did you do before opening your business?
A: I moved my Edward Jones office from 20th Street and Camelback Road to be closer to home. I have been in the financial services industry for more than 30 years. I have been a CFP since 1987, and am currently a financial advisor with Edward Jones.
Q: Why did you open your business in this community?
A: I love the Ahwatukee community and have lived in the area since 1997. We have close ties to the community. My husband was living in Lakewood when I met him at Mountain View Lutheran Church. We have been members of MVLC for many years. Also, my husband and I sing in many bands, including Spirit Surge, a Christian rock band. We have performed for the Lakewood HOA Holiday Gala for many years, Tasting Ahwatukee many times, and numerous functions in Ahwatukee, as well as other church and charity events.
Q: How did you get the idea to open your business?
A: My Nana taught me all about stocks and bonds as a young girl. I was always very interested in the markets, and had an aptitude for them. I have worked for brokerage firms and banks my entire career. I enjoy helping people, and find the business fascinating and challenging.
Q: What type of merchandise/services do you sell?
A: As a financial advisor with Edward Jones, we offer stocks, bonds, mutual funds and ETFs, while paying close attention to our clients' risk tolerance and investment goals. We offer personalized attention conveniently located in your neighborhood.
Q: What does your business have in store for the future?
A: I look forward to helping our clients reach their investment goals for retirement, college planning, savings and all of their financial and insurance needs.
Q: Anything else you want the community to know about you or your business?
A: As a business, I specialize in planning and helping clients with their long-term care needs as well as life insurance, investing and college funding.
Personally, I have sung the National Anthem at numerous venues all around the U.S. and Canada; including the White Sox (opening weekend), Cubs (at Wrigley Field), Diamondbacks, Suns and Coyotes. I also enjoy volunteering to teach kid's music, and we also volunteer at Teen Challenge, St. Mark's Recovery and serve on the Mesa Arts Center Gala committee.
