Income-eligible Tempe homeowners may be eligible for assistance with energy-saving, non-emergency weatherization improvements to their home, thanks to available federal stimulus funds.
Improvements may include: duct repair and air sealing; installation of attic, wall and crawl space insulation; air-conditioning repair or replacements; weather stripping; window sun shades, low-flow shower heads; and energy-efficient refrigerators.
Residents can apply through the Tempe Community Action Agency. Households must meet federal poverty guidelines to qualify. For example, a family of four earning $44,100 is eligible.
