PHOENIX (AP) — A former Tempe, Ariz., attorney and South Dakota prosecutor has been sentenced to prison in a fatal 2008 stabbing. The Maricopa County Superior Court says 39-year-old Daniel Gukeisen (GOO'-ky-suhn) was sentenced Monday to five years for manslaughter.

Gukeisen was found guilty of non-dangerous manslaughter for killing 22-year-old Arizona State University student Garrett Hohn in September 2008 after a heated argument.

Gukeisen was a state's attorney in Mitchell, S.D. and a deputy state's attorney in Deadwood before moving to Arizona where he was a bankruptcy lawyer.
