A Tempe bar owner is accused of plying a young woman with drinks during a job interview and then groping her.

Jay Kennedy Johari had his initial court appearance Tuesday on suspicion of sexual abuse and unlawfully taking photos without authorization.

The 35-year-old Johari was arrested in the case July 2 and released from jail with electronic monitoring the following day. He doesn't have a lawyer yet.

The then 20-year-old woman says she was interviewing for a waitress job at the Vintage Lounge and Grill in October 2012.

After being given numerous drinks over a two-hour span, the woman says she fell asleep inside the bar's office.

She says she awoke to find Johari kissing her and touching her inappropriately.

Police say a surveillance camera also recorded the woman undressing.
