A company that offers language services and translation technology has opened a new remote interpretation facility in Tempe.
TransPerfect provides translation over phone lines, VoIP, web audio and video and major video conferencing platforms.
The company said Tuesday in a statement that the new facility will add call capacity, improve redundancy and security and add to its personnel to support clients.
"The technology advances and bandwidth gains will deliver an immediate and significant improvement to the level of service we're able to offer our clients," said TransPerfect CEO Liz Elting
A representative for TransPerfect said Tuesday in an email to the Tribune that the company has plans to hire up to 150 new employees.
