The two Democrats vying to unseat Maricopa County Attorney Andrew Thomas this fall will hold their first debate on Tuesday night at Changing Hands Bookstore in Tempe.
Gerald Richard and Tim Nelson will discuss issues such as Valley criminal justice policy and how to best handle the job of being the Valley's chief prosecutor.
The debate begins at 7 p.m. at the bookstore at 6428 S. McClintock Drive. It is the first in a series of four planned forums for the candidates this month.
The winner of the Democrats' September primary will take on Thomas in November. For more information about the first debate, call Changing Hands at (480) 730-0205.
