The Tempe Fire Department is offering emergency preparation training at two sessions this spring. The training addresses disaster preparedness, fire safety, treating injuries and search and rescue, allowing volunteers to put these skills into use in daily or large-scale emergencies. The program is part of the city’s Community Emergency Response Team, which already has hundreds of members. The training will be held from 6:30 p.m. to 9 p.m. on Thursdays from Feb. 24 through March 31 and on Tuesdays from March 1 through April 5. To register or to obtain more information, call (480) 858-7230 or e-mail email@example.com.
