As early unofficial results trickle in, it appears incumbent Michelle Hirsch will retain her position on the Kyrene Elementary School District governing board.
While Hirsh held 32 percent of the vote, the remaining two open school board seats were still too close to determine. Twenty-seven of 35 precincts were reporting unofficial results, as of 10:30 p.m. Tuesday.
John King, an incumbent, and Ross Robb, a challenger, appear to be holding on to the remaining two seats with 23 percent of the votes each, while incumbent Ellen Shamah isn’t far behind with 21 percent.
