One or more intruders broke in to the Tempe Salvation Army early Sunday and vandalized the organization, but stole only crackers and peanut butter.

Police said computers had been thrown around and objects knocked off the shelves at the Salvation Army on University Drive and Myrtle Avenue.

The incident was not the first time someone has broken into the nonprofit, police said.
