Tempe police say one man has been injured in an afternoon Memorial Day shooting at the Quadrangles Village Apartments near Arizona State University.

The victim, an adult male, is alert after being transported to a local hospital, and his injuries do not appear to be life-threatening, according to a statement from Sgt. Steve Carbajal.

The shooter, who police say is known by the victim, is still being sought by police.

Considering the victim knew the shooter, the paucity of this news is amazing.

It's not just this site either. I saw the same nonsensical story on teevee. "The victim knew the shooter. Police say they are searching for the shooter and request anyone with information to contact them."

Name of victim? Description of suspect? Name of suspect?

For requesting information, the police (or media) didn't help.
