Although I don't believe in the death penalty for ANYONE, regardless of circumstances, Arturo Martinez should NEVER, EVER be released from prison. If ever released, he would be a danger to anyone who dared make him mad by disagreeing with him or resisting giving him what he wanted. At 24, he will probably live another 60 years, which will give him plenty of time to reflect on his reprehensible actions toward Ms. Kang. Regardless of his problems growing up, he should be removed from society to a cell and left there permanently.

"the course of about 15 minutes, beating her with his fists to the point he bruised his own arms and hands and broke her nose, repeatedly stabbing her in the face and eyes with a pen before severing her carotid artery and jugular vein with a pair of scissors he retrieved from a drawer behind the store’s counter." -- A 15 minute attack where he used his fists (with such force he hurt himself), seached for and found additional WEAPONS like a pen and scissors (because they were USED AS WEAPONS), stabbing her SEVERAL TIMES WITH BOTH WEAPONS (Her eyes than her carotid artery- Seems to me he knows vital areas) would be an easy decision for me. DEATH.

Carolyn: Why pay to keep such an animal alive and well until he dies of natural causes? Do you have any idea the costs involved? What if he escaped in the future? Time for him to pay society for what he's done, not for society to pay to keep him caged so we are safe. I'd sleep better at night knowing such an animal was dead.....

Masterrogue666, let me take a stab at this. Carolyn, keeping animals like this incarcerated keeps Sheriffs Joe and Babau in office. We all know how you feel about them. [wink]
