Could you gift-wrap an old-fashioned snow sled out of the box? What about a 6-foot tall backyard play set - including the two slides?

Melissa Montoya of Tempe will wrap these and other odd-shaped gifts at the 15th annual Scotch Brand Most Gifted Wrapper Contest in New York City. Melissa was chosen as one of eight finalists to compete Dec. 2 in New York City for the grand prize of $10,000 cash based on an essay and gift-wrapping tips she provided.

A former professional gift wrapper at Dillard's, Montoya has wrapped hundreds of gifts in her lifetime, including everything from a live tree to a bedroom dresser. Montoya is now a costume designer at Arizona State University.
