Tempe is holding its annual Neighborhood Workshop and Awards event on April 28, which includes three free workshops. Mayor Hugh Hallman and the City Council will present awards, including neighbor of the year. The city will hold workshops on what’s happening in downtown, building community through art and 72-hour disaster preparedness.
The event begins at 7:30 a.m. with a breakfast, awards at 8 a.m. and workshops from 9:15 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. The event is at the Tempe History Museum, 809 E. Southern Ave.
