ASU police are issuing a warning Wednesday after a female ASU student was groped on campus.

Police spokesman Jim Hardina said the student was attacked at the Tempe campus near the Hayden Library at around 2:30 a.m Tuesday morning.

Hardina said the suspect grabbed the student's arm and thrust his other hand down the front of her pants. The woman pushed the suspect against the wall, and he fled.

Police do not have a good description of the man. He is described as "in his 30's" and "smelling of alcohol."

Hardina said police searched the area for the suspect, but were unable to find him.

Police remind the public not to walk alone at night, and if you can't use the buddy system, you can ask for a campus police escort.

I feel for this coed, but really? Walking by yourself at 2:30 a.m morning? The cops must bite their lip when having to communicate to the public not to walk by yourself in the middle of the night. "He is described as "in his 30's" and "smelling of alcohol." This isn't going to help narrow the field of possible suspects near ASU campus.
