Guadalupe children are taking part in a national effort to rally against tobacco use. This week, Torch Club members will pick up cigarette butts in local parks in the community. Collected butts will be displayed at the Boys & Girls Club to encourage members to stay away from smoking.
Kick Butts Day is an annual celebration of youth leadership and activism in the fight against tobacco use, when youth across the country encourage their peers to stay tobacco-free and educate their communities about the dangers of tobacco.
Thursday’s event is organized by the Campaign for Tobacco-Free Kids and sponsored by the United Health Foundation
