Safety Services Company, a Tempe business, was recognized by Inc. Magazine as one of the largest new job creators in the country.
Between 2008 and 2011, the review period for the award, Safety Services Company added 146 new jobs. The growth rate makes the company the fourth largest job creator in Arizona. The top 100 companies that were recognized in Inc.’s Hire Power Awards created a total of 73,032 American jobs.
The company was also listed on Inc.’s list of America’s fastest growing private companies in the country for the fifth consecutive year. Revenue more than doubled from $8 million in 2008 to $16.5 million in 2011.
Safety Services Company is a supplier of occupational health and safety training and compliance materials. Since the company’s formation in 2005, it has helped more than 200,000 employers achieve compliance with safety regulations.
Two other companies from the East Valley, both from Tempe, were also named to the list, including FlexPrint, with an increase of 69 jobs, and Mountainside Fitness, with 67 new jobs.
