When Mesa’s Nathaniel Ross turned 11 years old earlier this month, he found a special way to mark the day — and celebrate those who have helped him on his journey to health.
Nathaniel brought more than $600 worth of toys to donate to Cardon Children’s Medical Center in Mesa, where he has been a patient many times.
He decided that for his birthday, he wanted to raise money to bring a little joy to others. He was especially interested in buying toys for older kids like himself.
Using deals during Black Friday, he and his family were able to bring four carts worth of toys to be placed in the toy closet on the oncology floor at Cardon Children’s.
