A Mesa man is facing up to five years in federal prison and a $250,000 fine after pleading guilty to one count of receiving child pornography, the U.S. Department of Justice announced on Tuesday.
Charles Brown, 54, pleaded guilty to the offense in the U.S. District Court in Phoenix on Tuesday, according to the Department of Justice.
During the hearing on Tuesday, Brown admitted to receiving child pornography after responding to an advertisement on the Internet offering child pornography for sale, and to ordering and submitting payment for a video containing child pornography involving a nine-year-old girl, according to the Department of Justice.
The advertisement had been placed by U.S. Postal Inspectors. Brown’s sentencing is scheduled for June 1.
