A 19-year-old Mesa man accused of firing gunshots at police while he was barricaded inside his apartment earlier this month was charged Monday in connection with the incident.

Ralph Rocha Martinez was indicted on 10 counts of aggravated assault on law enforcement with a deadly weapon, assault and discharge at an occupied structure, according to the Maricopa County Attorney's Office.

Martinez is accused of firing shots at police as they were responding to an April 2 domestic violence call after he had a physical altercation with his girlfriend.
