When thousands of athletes gather this week in Mesa for the Special Olympics Arizona Summer Games, they'll be needing some sports wear. So sponsor NextCare Urgent Care is asking the public to help out by dropping off socks, shoes and laces, shirts, shorts, hats and sweatshirts or jackets in various sizes at its 17 locations in the metro area by Monday.

"I'm urging Valley residents to dig deep and donate ... so that these athletes can have meaningful athletic competitions and a good time with their friends from across the state," NextCare vice president Brian Murphy said in a news release.
