Mitt Romney is staging a rally in Mesa on Monday, Feb. 13 as the four remaining Republican presidential nominees turn their focus to Arizona in advance of the state's Feb. 28 presidential preference election

The rally is scheduled from 5:30 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the Mesa Amphitheatre, at the southeast corner of University Drive and Center Street. The amphitheatre can hold up to 5,000 people.

The primary and debate schedules are creating a long period for the GOP contenders to focus on Arizona.

The late February primary is the next one after a Saturday election in Maine. The Arizona results could indicate the next round of voting on March 6, when voters in 10 states go to the polls for the "Super Tuesday" primaries.

The next debate is set for Feb. 22 in Arizona, where CNN and the Republican Party of Arizona will host the event at the Mesa Arts Center.

That debate will include a free viewing party hosted by Mesa outside the arts center. The debate will be shown on a large video screen, and the city plans events from 4-9 p.m. that day.

As of Friday, GOP contenders Newt Gingrich, Ron Paul and Rick Santorum hadn't listed any Arizona events on their websites.

His campaign co-chair in Arizona is Paul Babeu. Before he takes trips like this, does he even bother to check his co-chair's "baggage?"

A lot of the stuff you can easily find there isn't in the category of "family values." Not even close.

At this point, I'll vote for an orange soda can before obama.
