A 30-year-old woman was arrested on suspicion of identity theft on Wednesday after her sister turned her in to police for using her information to receive treatment for kidney stones at Banner Desert Medical Center.

Crystal Wilson was arrested about 8:30 a.m. at police headquarters, 130 N. Robson, after her sister brought her into the station, according to a police report.

The victim had received a bill for the medical procedure that was performed in January for her sister, who she said used her insurance and personal information without her knowledge.

Wilson told police that she used her sister’s personal information to have the kidney stones removed because she had been refused treatment.

Wilson also admitted to police that she had given her sister’s personal and insurance information to an urgent-care facility in Tempe last week.
