With the help of a federal agent and an explosives-sniffing dog, police searched a Scottsdale man's house late Wednesday for clues in the Mesa quintuple homicide.

It was the second time this week police searched William Craig Miller's house, 12720 N. 78th St. Miller is an investigative lead.

“We're looking for anything that would tie him closer to the homicide, anything like forensics, ballistics, firearms,” said Mesa Sgt. Chuck Trapani.

Police asked the U.S. Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives to send the dog, which can sniff residue “even down to spent shell casings,” said special agent Thomas Mangan.

“Maybe they're coming to take me down, but I don't think so, because I didn't do anything,” Miller said outside.
