Mountain Vista is a beautiful hospital, both inside and out. However, a week after my mother was admitted we had to move her OUT to another facility as there was a total lack of communication as to my mother's condition and prognosis. Because of personnel shortage, the staff was so overworked that they had difficulty finding time to explain to the family her condition or prognosis at a time when we were already in a state of worry and apprehension. On the other hand, when we did get information by the doctor, it was in my mother's presence at her bedside at which point we were bluntly informed that there was a possibility she might not survive. Although it was important information for the family, it was too much information for my mother who was already traumatized and very scared. We just did not feel confident that my mother was getting the best care possible, so we transferred her to another hospital. The comparison of the two hospitals was like night and day. Ultimately she did not survive, but in the end she got the best care possible at another hospital.

This article must have been written buy a third grader. I read it because I'd never heard of this hospital and wondered where it was. I'm still wondering..[censored]
