A Valley man who allegedly exposed himself to children on their way to school has been charged with indecent exposure.
Alfredo Arciniega Alvarado, 33, stood naked in a doorway near Gilbert Road and East Hampton Avenue in Mesa, teenage girls told police.
The girls were on their way to a bus stop when Alvarado appeared in the doorway.
Other teenage girls told police that Alvarado asked them for directions at intersections, and when the girls came over to a truck to help, Alvarado was naked from the waist down and was touching himself.
There were five alleged victims, between 12 and 15 years old.
"It's a good family neighborhood, and we don't want this in our neighborhood," Kathy Green said.
Formal charges were filed against Alvarado on Tuesday.
The alleged incidents began in August 2013, and continued for months, according to the police investigation.
