Teens of all ages are invited to attend Teen Maze, an interactive game of choices and consequences at Fiesta Mall in Mesa on Feb. 28 and March 1.
During the free event, teens will spin wheels, roll dice and select cards to indicate choices as they walk through a life-sized maze while learning the impact of real-life choices.
Teen Maze provides a hands-on opportunity for teens to understand the choices they face and help them to be better decision makers.
The event allows teens to explore important issues including the consequences of sexual activity, the pros and cons of technology use, and the dangers of substance abuse. It also sheds light on dating violence and healthy relationships while the teens navigate their way through the maze.
Diane DeLong, senior program manager of North Star Youth Partnership, stated in a release that, “Teens consistently say that Teen Maze made them think the choices they make and gave them a dose of reality.”
Partners for this year’s event include Community Bridges, Inc., Pima Prevention Partnership, University of Arizona Maricopa Cooperative Extension, Teen Outreach Pregnancy Services, Anasazi Foundation, Kaity’s Way, My Sister’s Place and DIGNITY, programs of Catholic Charities, and Mesa Prevention Alliance.
Fiesta Mall is located at 1140 W. Southern Ave. and will be open Friday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Saturday from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. For more information about Teen Maze, call (602) 650-4888.
